How Air Freight Cost Is Calculated
Airlines charge on the greater of actual gross weight and volumetric weight, using the standard divisor of 6,000 (length × width × height in cm ÷ 6,000 = volumetric kg). Battery cargo carries a DG surcharge and, for UN3480, may require a cargo-aircraft-only routing.
